Winter Project update 10

     We have now finished turfing the front approach to the 9th Green .

We have installed extra drainage between the new 9th Green and new 10th tees ,prep and turfing of this area will start in a week or so after giving the drain time to do its job .

We have also been busy turfing the haul road over the 8th fairway and turfing the 9th tee complex pics to follow .

Winter Project Update 9

The last 2 weeks back since the Christmas Holidays have been very challenging , the weather has been even more unhelpfull than normal with raging storms , winter Gailes and hard frosts . 

Our Greenstaff have continued to do a fantastic job even with the challenging conditions .

With the 9th holes location being so exposed the worst storm which hit us literally blew up and ruined 3 days worth of turfing which was pinned down ! Mother Nature is a powerful beast ! 

The greens surround and front approach are nearly completed ,this will lead onto to final prep and turfing of the right hand mouldings . 

Winter Project Update 8

We have completed all turfing at the 16th. 

All greenside bunkers on the 9th have been completed , extra drainage works on the approach have also been installed.

After the Chrismas break all resources will be put in to turfing and fairway bunker construction on the 9th.

Winter Project Update 7

Works have been progressing well over the last week.

Turfing on the 16th is going down nicely.

Drainage being installed on the 9th Approach.

Irrigation works are now complete.

Works the last week have been concentrated on Bunker Revetting at the 9th Greenside and Turfing on the 16th Approach.

Winter Project Update 5

The weather this week gave us a break and we have started revetting the greenside bunkers on the 9th . 

Our Shaper Marcus Terry has been working on the 16th approach.

We have now started turfing at 16 :  )

Winter Project Update 4

Well the last week or so has only got tougher to get materials up the hill to Hawklaw ! But perseverance has been the key !

The green has now been turfed and rolled , surrounds are being shaped .

Drainage is also being installed in through lower shaped areas on the approach.
